On last 29th October took place at the central office of the Caixa Geral de Depósitos in Lisbon the VII National 'Encontro' of the members of ANAC (Associaçao Nacional dos Aposentados da CGD). The Board of Directors of our Association attended this event on invitation.
The event began at 10 a.m. with a report from the President of the Association, followed by many speeches from different members. Afterwards, the poetry and prose awards corresponding to the Floral Games that traditionally are convoked were delivered. After lunch a very entertaining variety show took place that ended with the performance of music from the different member countries of the European Association. A representative of each country appeared on stage carrying their national flag. At 8 p.m. the closing dinner took place, in which speeches were delivered by the President of the Association, Mr Antonio Serra and the President of the Caixa Geral de Depósitos, Professor Doctor Antonio Sousa, the latter receiving from Mr Lidón the gold medal of our Association.
