THE CAM Bank’s Social Department offers a programme called CYBERABUEL@S, with special courses called Computing for beginners and The Internet for the Elderly. The subjects are: Operating System 'Windows 98', Word Processor 'Word 97' and Introduction to the Internet. These courses are taught in Alicante, Murcia, Cartagena and Elche.

This new educational activity of the CAM’s Social Department began in June 1999. 60 courses have been taught since then, with an attendance of more than 1,000 people. There are 10 more courses for the rest of the year, which will be attended by 180 people, and there is a waiting list. The students’ ages range from 55 to 80. Some of them, when they want to learn more about new technologies, enrol in other courses that are taught in the 'CAM’s Young classroom', in order to learn to use the Excel spreadsheet or Access database, and where they share classes with young people. The experience has been very positive.
