It will take place from 1st to 8th April 2000 at Platja d’Aro (Spanish Costa Brava)
FOR the elaboration of the programme of the 'Euromeeting 2000' the survey that was done in the 98 edition has been very useful, because the ideal distribution of time was defined there: Workshops (3 half days), cultural organised tourism, and leisure time, during which Halcón Travel Agency will offer optional excursions.
We have hired the hotels Platja Park (150 rooms) and Rosa Park (110 rooms), situated on Avenida de Strasbourg (at the centre of the town, a few metres from each other). Full board, including drinks during meals.
A subsidy has been solicited to the European Commission, especially for the expenses of interpreters and simultaneous translation. We will have interpreters of German, Spanish, French, English and Italian all the time, and with their help we will be able to celebrate international gatherings.
The provisional program is the following:
Saturday 1st. Reception of travellers and accommodation in the hotels, delivery of documentation, welcome cocktail offered by the Mayor of Platja d’Aro.
Sunday 2nd. Visit to the Castell d’Aro town.
Monday 3rd. Meeting of the Board of Directors of the Association Of European Saving's Bank Retired Staff. Meeting of the Study Commissions with the help of interpreters. Visit to the Doll Museum.
Tuesday 4th. Collective reading of the Study Commissions and drafting of their summing-up, with simultaneous translation. Tourist excursion.
Wednesday 5th. Visit to the Dalí Museum, in Figueres; lunch at a booked restaurant and tourist visit to Girona.
Thursday 6th. Day off. Halcón Travel Agency will organise optional tourist outings to Barcelona, the Monastery of Montserrat, and other places.
Friday 7th. General Meeting of the European Association, presentation of summing-up of the Workshops, and closing ceremony. Farewell dinner.
Saturday 8th. We leave the rooms before 12 am.
